As Christians we see strong responses from people to COVID which indicate great insecurity in the face of serious illness and human mortality.
Our response needs to be less about microbiology and more about addressing the fear of death with the vision of Psalm 23:4

Covid?
No we shouldn’t be blasé about COVID, nor live in craven fear either … it’s a serious thing and it’s quite often an avoidable thing and that’s what we should do with it but … here’s its’ proper perspective:
He is with me when I walk in His way, following my Lord that Eastern Shepherd, protected by His staff, handled and nurtured with His rod – His light dispelling the fear of evil and the shadow of Death’s Valley.
Confident of His ability to take care of death and its sting, so that I shall dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
